What is the test for calling medical evidence in a spousal support claim?

Alberta, Canada

The following excerpt is from S.M.B. v. L.M.B., 2006 ABQB 141 (CanLII):

While Lévesque v. Comeau deals with the failure to call medical evidence in a personal injury case, I see no reason why the same principles would not apply in a claim for spousal support wherein disability is alleged and no medical evidence called in support of the allegation.
