In accordance with this rule, a claim for damages will be reduced to the extent that the plaintiff ought reasonably to have pursued a course of action which would have diminished the actual losses resulting from the defendant’s breach: See Red Deer College v. Michaels et al., [1967] 2 S.C.R. 324, at pp. 330-31.
