What is the burden of proving that a plaintiff acted unreasonably in her actions?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Ladret v. Stephens, 2013 BCSC 1999 (CanLII):

The plaintiff, however, says that the burden of proof is on the defendants to show that she acted unreasonably, and also to show the extent she would have avoided her loss had she acted reasonably: Chiu v. Chiu, 2002 BCCA 618 at para. 57. The plaintiff says that the defendants have not discharged either burden.
