How is child support calculated when the parties have equal time with each child?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from J.S.P. v. J.H.S., 2015 BCSC 1239 (CanLII):

As discussed in Contino v. Leonelli-Contino, 2005 SCC 63, the court must consider the factors in ss. 9(a) to (c) of the FCSG. Here, the children spend equal time with each parent and the parties have comparable expenses for them. A set-off is the appropriate way to calculate child support.
