How has the Court apportioned costs between a plaintiff and defendant?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Streifel v. First Heritage Savings Credit Union, 1995 CanLII 3101 (BC CA):

12 It is inevitable that another judge undertaking the same exercise might have reached a different apportionment of responsibility for the costs of the trial. But, as the matter is one of discretion and as the trial judge did approach the case in that way, I do not consider myself bound by the judgment of this Court in Bailey v. Victory.
