What is the reasonable notice period required for a senior manager to be dismissed?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Chan v. Dencan Restaurants Inc., 2011 BCSC 1439 (CanLII):

The plaintiff was a management level employee who had been with the defendant for 15 years. In Borsato v. Atwater Insurance, 2008 BCSC 724 the plaintiff had worked for 16 years as an office manager. She was 54 at the time of trial and the court found that a reasonable notice period required on dismissal was 16 months (reduced by one month in that case due to a failure to mitigate damages).
