Is a mortgagee entitled to solicitor-and-client costs?

Alberta, Canada

The following excerpt is from Ram Mortgage Corporation (1973) Ltd. v. Huizingh, 1982 CanLII 1082 (AB QB):

In Mayhew v. Adams, supra, the question was whether a mortgagee who had claimed more than the amount actually owing under the mortgage was entitled to even ordinary party-and-party costs. The case does not deal with the question of solicitor-and-client costs contracted for in the mortgage.
