At the same time, I share the view most recently expressed by Healey J. in Gogas v. Gogas 2011 CarswellOnt 9632 that it is not typical for costs to be determined at each procedural step, nor is it practical to do so at an event such as case conference where the merits of case are not being fully assessed.
