The People cited People v. Arnold (1980) 105 Cal.App.3d 456, 164 Cal.Rptr. 367 for the proposition that the grace period provided for in Penal Code Section 1382 can be had, and continuances automatically granted for the People without stating or showing any specific reason, good cause, or need whatsoever for a continuance or trailing within that 10 day grace period.
