A court reviewing a record for sufficiency of the evidence for a guilty verdict must view the evidence and inferences to be drawn from it in the light most favorable to the government. Jackson v. Virginia, 443 U.S. at 319, 99 S.Ct. at 2789. If a reasonable trier of fact could conclude beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant was guilty under the explicit terms of the substantive elements of the crime under state law, the judgment will be affirmed.
