Appellant would request this court to adopt the principles set forth in People v. Marsden (1970) 2 Cal.3d 118, 84 Cal.Rptr. 156, 465 P.2d 44, wherein the trial court was found to have erred in refusing to listen [123 Cal.App.3d 90] to defendant's reasons for his request to substitute counsel after the People had presented their case to the jury.
