Under the Act, a claim relating to a cause of action for personal injury against a local public entity must be presented within "six months after the accrual of the cause of action." ( 911.2, subd. (a).) Failure to present a timely claim bars suit against the entity. (City of Stockton v. Superior Court (2007) 42 Cal.4th 730, 734; 905, 911.2, 945.4.)
