What is the test for pleading guilty to a single charge in a criminal case?

As the foregoing indicates, none of the issues raised by appellant is difficult to resolve, but there is one aspect of the appeal that deserves further discussion. We refer to the problems, recently alluded to by another panel of this court, raised by allowing defendants to plead guilty to a few counts of an indictment while reserving various points on appeal.
