The following excerpt is from People v. Robinson, A153337 (Cal. App. 2020):
In considering a challenge to the sufficiency of the evidence, we "review the entire record in the light most favorable to the judgment to determine whether it contains substantial evidencethat is, evidence that is reasonable, credible, and of solid valuefrom which a reasonable trier of fact could find the defendant guilty beyond a reasonable doubt." (People v. Albillar (2010) 51 Cal.4th 47, 60.) We resolve "neither credibility issues nor evidentiary conflicts. Resolution of conflicts and inconsistencies in the testimony is the exclusive province of the trier of fact. Moreover, unless the testimony is physically impossible or inherently improbable, testimony of a single witness is sufficient to support a conviction." (People v. Young (2005) 34 Cal.4th 1149, 1181, citations omitted.) Reversal for insufficiency of the evidence is unwarranted "unless it appears 'that upon no hypothesis whatever is there sufficient substantial evidence to support the conviction.' " (People v. Bolin (1998) 18 Cal.4th 297, 331.)
