The case People v. Herold (282 A.D.2d 1 [1st Dept] ) is instructive. In Herold the police received a 911 call regarding a dispute involving a man with a gun in front of a specific address. The caller described the person with the gun and left her apartment number at the address, but conveyed no other identifying information.
