In a related argument, defendant argues his trial counsel provided ineffective assistance of counsel by failing to object to the sufficiency of the prosecution's evidence regarding the terms of Perkins's probation. To establish ineffective assistance of counsel, a defendant must show counsel's performance was "deficient, in that it fell below an objective standard of reasonableness under prevailing professional norms."
