Here, because the record "'sheds no light on the why defense counsel'" did not object to certain testimony, we must reject the claim. (People v. Mendoza Tello (1997) 15 Cal.4th 264, 266.) We also reject it because defendant makes no effort to demonstrate how the failure to object prejudiced him, merely stating that it did. Without

such a showing, he cannot prevail on his ineffective assistance of counsel claim. (People v. Ledesma (2006) 39 Cal.4th 641, 746.)
The judgment is affirmed.
