What is the test for establishing that a defendant was being medicated involuntarily during a mental health proceeding?

California, United States of America

The following excerpt is from People v. Bradford, 15 Cal.4th 1229, 65 Cal.Rptr.2d 145, 939 P.2d 259 (Cal. 1997):

In the present case, defendant did not move to terminate the administration of medication, or otherwise assert that he was being medicated involuntarily. Defendant may not raise for the first time on appeal the claim that he was denied due process of law because drugs were administered to him to control his mental condition during the proceedings.
