Under section 1111, a jury must find an accomplice witness's testimony corroborated by other independent evidence that tends to connect the defendant with the commission of the offense. The corroborating evidence may be slight and entirely circumstantial, and it does not have to establish every element of the charged crimes. (People v. Hayes (1999) 21 Cal.4th 1211, 1271.)
