We review the trial court's ruling for abuse of discretion. "Specifically, [the appellate court] scrutinizes a decision on a motion to bar the introduction of evidence as irrelevant for such abuse: it does so because it so [ sic ] examines the underlying determination whether the evidence is indeed irrelevant."
