1. To the extent appellant raises an inability to communicate with his counsel, the issue more properly should be addressed by a writ of habeas corpus in which appellant may offer "any relevant evidence not appearing on the face of the record." (People v. Rodriguez, supra, 42 Cal.3d at p. 1016.)
