The following excerpt is from Stratton v. Stratton, H036950 (Cal. App. 2012):
"The special verdict must present the conclusions of fact as established by the evidence . . . ." (Code Civ. Proc., 624.) In other words, "a special verdict presents to the jury each ultimate fact in the case.
