Defendant asserts that the court's instruction improperly limited the jury's consideration of the evidence of his intoxication, which was relevant to whether he had acted in the heat of passion and whether he held a subjective belief that imminent danger necessitated the use of deadly force. He points to People v. Cameron (1994) 30 Cal.App.4th 591, 36 Cal.Rptr.2d 656, in which a defendant was convicted of second degree murder. ( Id. at p. 594, 36 Cal.Rptr.2d 656.)
