The standard of review for a sufficiency of the evidence claim is whether, after viewing all the evidence in the light most favorable to the prosecution, any rational trier of fact could find the essential elements of the crime beyond a reasonable doubt. (Jackson v. Virginia (1979) 443 U.S. 307, 318-319.) The existence of every fact the trier could reasonably deduce from the evidence must be presumed in support of the judgment.
