3 Of course, where defense counsel who speaks the same language as defendant is required to act as interpreter, the right to effective assistance of counsel is clearly generally deleteriously affected because of the constraints placed on counsel in fulfilling his normal duties at trial. (People v. Aguilar, supra, 35 Cal.3d at p. 791, fn. 5, 200 Cal.Rptr. 908, 677 P.2d 1198.)
