The following excerpt is from People v. Barriere, A128614 (Cal. App. 2012):
that she could barely walk; that he raped her more than 100 times between the ages of eight and 11; and that, the one time she tried to refuse, he threatened her with a knife. The court carefully weighed the probative value of this evidence against the danger of undue prejudice, and there is no indication in the record that the jury in this case punished appellant for the prior offenses against John or any of the other victims.
