At oral argument, the Attorney General acknowledged that restricting defense counsel from commenting on the origin of the exhibit may have been erroneous, but that any error was harmless. We agree any assumed error was harmless beyond a reasonable doubt. (Chapman v. California, supra, 386 U.S. at p. 24.) The court admitted the exhibitwhich contained the booking photograph, the sheriff's affidavit, and defense counsel's subpoenainto evidence. It allowed defense counsel to make his central point:
