What is the effect of a minute order in a personal injury case?

California, United States of America

The following excerpt is from People v. Maldonado, D058543, Super. Ct. No. SCS234304 (Cal. App. 2011):

We presume the court knows the law. (People v. Mack (1986) 178 Cal.App.3d 1026, 1032.) The minute order correctly reflects an authorized sentence, the amounts assessed are within the statutory parameters, and any argument otherwise has been forfeited on appeal.

The judgment is affirmed.
