A defendant's failure to object to hearsay forfeits his claim on appeal that the evidence was improperly admitted. (People v. Geier (2007) 41 Cal.4th 555, 611.) Failure to object to the hearsay also forfeits any companion claim that the revocation of his probation was based on inadmissible hearsay in violation of his right to due process of law. Even when framed as a due process claim, the claim may be forfeited by a failure to object. (Id. at pp. 610-611.)
