The following excerpt is from D.Z. v. L. A. Unified Sch. Dist., 247 Cal.Rptr.3d 127, 35 Cal.App.5th 210 (Cal. App. 2019):
"Relevant" evidence is evidence "having any tendency in reason to prove or disprove any disputed fact that is of consequence to the determination of the action." ( 210; see also, e.g., People v. Scheid (1997) 16 Cal.4th 1, 1314, 65 Cal.Rptr.2d 348, 939 P.2d 748 ["The test of relevance is whether the evidence tends "logically, naturally, and by reasonable inference" to establish material facts, "].) Here, appellant asserts that the evidence at issue was relevant to prove that there was a foreseeable risk of harm to her. We agree that at least some of the excluded evidence was relevant to this issue.
