An action in unjust enrichment restores money or property to a plaintiff who can establish: (1) the defendant was enriched; (2) the plaintiff suffered a corresponding detriment; and (3) the absence of a juristic reason for the enrichment: Kerr v. Baranow, 2011 SCC 10 at para. 32.
