An appellate court may allow an appeal and set aside an order for committal if the order is: a) unreasonable or cannot be supported by the evidence; b) a result of a wrong decision on a question of law; or c) is a result of a miscarriage of justice: United States v. Costanzo, 2009 BCCA 120 at paras. 19–20 citing ss. 53–54 of the Act.
