In the course of those reasons, the judge stated that the appellant’s business product, a form of insurance or protection against the effect of improper charges being made on an individual’s credit card was, in fact, “unnecessary, pointless and useless” (United States v. Wilson, (17 December 2009), Vancouver 24101 (S.C.) at para. 10). This conclusion is the basis of the appellant’s third ground of appeal against the committal order. The appellant asserts that there is no evidence to support this conclusion.
