I find that the significant cause test is the same as the causative significance test. It is well-established that the accepted injury need not be the only cause or even the most significant cause of a subsequent injury or condition, for the subsequent injury or condition to be compensable (Chima v. Workers’ Compensation Appeal Tribunal, 2009 BCSC 1574; Schulmeister v. British Columbia (Workers’ Compensation Appeal Tribunal), 2007 BCSC 1580).
