It is clear from the evidence that both parties intended the separation in March 2008 to be final. The hiatus of 15 months in between exceeded both the periods of cohabitation before the hiatus and the period after. Theirs was a case where the relationship was “recreated” in 2009, not “revived” (Roch v. Payne, 2000 BCSC 869).
