Is a claimant entitled to receive income from her share of the respondent's pension?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from McLean v. McLean, 2011 BCSC 1012 (CanLII):

In addition to the claimant’s income earning capacity, she is entitled to receive income from her share of the respondent’s pension. The claimant resists organizing her financial affairs in such a way that she will receive this income. The claimant urges, upon me, the conclusion reached by this court in Szczerbaniwicz v. Szczerbaniwicz.[4]
