The respondent relies on Leskun v. Leskun, 2006 SCC 25, [2006] 1 S.C.R. 920, as authority for the proposition that, notwithstanding a lack of medical evidence, it is open to the court to find on other evidence that a spouse has been rendered unemployable as a result of emotional devastation arising from the behaviour of the other spouse. This, the respondent asserts, is the case here, and entitles the respondent to spousal support.
