What is the reliability of evidence in a civil case?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Canada (Attorney General) v K.T., 2018 BCSC 622 (CanLII):

The reliability requirement is not an onerous one. It is no more demanding than the standard the requesting state must meet to adduce evidence: the evidence must have “sufficient indicia of reliability to make it worth consideration by the judge at the hearing”: United States of America v. Ferras, 2006 SCC 33 at para. 53.
