Evidence of an "expectation" on either side that the relationship is intended to be of "lengthy, indeterminate duration" is helpful to assessing whether a relationship is "marriage-like": Weber v. Indeed, I accept that while he was living in the respondent's home, the claimant had a five- to six-month intimate relationship with another person and held himself out to her as living "alone" with his daughter in North Vancouver.
