How have the words “on any other just cause being shown, and without limiting the generality of the foregoing” have been struck out of section 641 of the Criminal Code?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from R. v. Lee, 2002 BCSC 1934 (CanLII):

In Hall v. The Queen, [2002] S.C.C. 641, the words, “on any other just cause being shown, and without limiting the generality of the foregoing,” were struck out of that section as being unconstitutional, leaving the balance of the provision intact as the tertiary ground justifying detention.
