The purpose of litigation privilege is to create a “zone of privacy” within which those engaged in pending or anticipated litigation can prepare their cases without intrusion into their thoughts or work product: Blank v. Canada (Minister of Justice), [2006] 2. S.C.R. 319, 2006 SCC 39, at para. 32 - 34.
