The accused has a good employment history, no previous record and appears to be of good character. As noted by McCarthy J. In R v. Dixon, 2011 ABQB 255 (CanLII), at paragraph 13 the public interest also includes a consideration of the benefits of to the public of allowing the accused to pursue his career goals and his future without being inhibited by a criminal record.
