When a parent provides funds to an adult child, the presumption of resulting trust applies. The recipient must demonstrate, on the balance of probabilities, that a gift was intended: Pecore v. Pecore, 2007 SCC 17, [2007] 1 S.C.R. 795 at paras. 41, 43.
