In R v. Maddigan 2009 ONCA 269, the possession of the weapon involved a transfer of a weapon and putting it into circulation. The offences were possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition, transportation of prohibited firearm, possession of a prohibited weapon, a drug offence and possession of a firearm while prohibited.
