The following excerpt is from Davies v. Bakk, 2002 BCSC 1605 (CanLII):

Clearly, by far the greater fault lies with the plaintiff’s former solicitor. But in my view the plaintiff himself cannot escape all responsibility. I have noted above the passage of many months from one attempt to urge the case along to the next. His conduct appears quite similar to that described in Minter v. Reeves (supra), where fault was attributed to the plaintiff personally, as well as his negligent solicitor.
