What factors are considered in the assessment of child support when the father works in Libya?

Alberta, Canada

The following excerpt is from Campbell v. Campbell, 1999 ABQB 735 (CanLII):

In Fitzgerald v. Fitzgerald supra, the father worked in Libya for 5 weeks and returned to Canada for 5 weeks. While he was in Libya the mother bore "the whole brunt of custody". In financial means, this meant additional babysitting to meet her obligations of taking children to appointments and needing "recreational relief for herself". Veit J. appears to take these factors into account in the overall support assessment, although she does not specify a number.
