What is the penalty for failing to comply with a medical malpractice notice?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Wittmann (Re), 2008 LSBC 24 (CanLII):

The Panel has considered the authorities cited, the factors to be considered in imposing penalty as set out in Law Society of BC v. Ogilvie, [1999] LSBC 17, the thorough submissions of counsel on both sides, the letter from the Respondent’s physician relating to the Respondent’s medical circumstances in the relevant period, and the two letters from the Respondent’s professional colleagues, and we have concluded that the proposed penalty is appropriate.
