What is the next step in the extradition process?

Ontario, Canada

The following excerpt is from United States of America v. Jones, 2022 ONSC 1711 (CanLII):

In the event that the judge orders the committal at the conclusion of the extradition hearing, the next step of the process permits the Minister to order the surrender of the person sought to the extradition partner. This next step in the extradition process is political in nature: see United States of America v. Kwok, 2001 SCC 18, [2001] 1 S.C.R. 532, at para. 32.
