The date on which the parties ceased to live in a marriage-like relationship, rather than the date on which the parties cease to live under the same roof, is the date from which the one-year limitation date starts to run. It is the marriage-like relationship that gives rise to the statutory right of support : Markin v. Gysel, [2004] B.C.J. No. 560, 2004 BCSC 364. Per Joyce, J.
