An award for the loss of housekeeping capacity is to compensate an injured person for a loss of capacity to perform home maintenance activities. It is not intended to be assessed on an item by item basis. The plaintiff is not required to prove that someone was hired to do a particular task or that actual expenses were incurred: Hartnett v. Leischner & ICBC, 2008 BCSC 1589 at para. 107.
